ActivaNail™ is a beneficial tool regarding osteotomies and fractures. Simply put, it is a small nail holding pieces of bone together while they naturally regenerate. Compared to ActivaPin™, ActivaNail™ provides additional support with its small nail-shaped head.
While slowly degrading, the bioabsorbable implant slowly transfers stress back to the healing bone, assisting in the rehabilitation process. Due to the implant absorption, the risks of implant-related long term complications are eliminated. ActivaNail™ material is replaced by bone in approximately two years*.

ActivaNail™ comes with patented Self-Locking SL™ technology and grooved surface design that ensure stable fixation. These properties provide rotational stability and ensure that the product stays in place after implementation. The material of these products also provides some support: the diameter will increase 1-2 % compared to the initial dimensions.
ActivaNail™ offers flexible ways of treatment, you can insert the implant arthroscopically as well. The packaging of ActivaNail™ is carried out in a way that ensures easy and aseptic use during surgical procedures.
Product properties
Material: ActivaNail™ is made of PLGA, which safely biodegrades in the body in approximately two years. The material has a long history in medical use and is proven to be safe in various scientific health care studies and practical use.

Product measures: ActivaNail™ is available in diameter 1.5 and lengths 10-30 mm and diameter 2.0 and lengths 15-30 mm.
